Summary

"There will be three tasks, spaced throughout the school year, and they will test the champions in many different ways。。。 their magical prowess - their daring - their powers of deduction - and, of course, their ability to cope with danger。"

The Triwizard Tournament is to be held at Hogwarts。 Only wizards who are over seventeen are allowed to enter - but that doesn't stop Harry dreaming that he will win the competition。 Then at Hallowe'en, when the Goblet of Fire makes its selection, Harry is amazed to find his name is one of those that the magical cup picks out。 He will face death-defying tasks, dragons and Dark wizards, but with the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione, he might just make it through - alive!

The best book in the series。 A tour de force that shows that HP can be a beneficial read for any age group。

Excellent! I think I said this about Prisoner of Azkaban as well - this is the best book of the series so far。 Hopefully the remaining three books continue this trend。

4。5 STARSThe pacing of this book is a vast improvement over the first three and the ending doesn't seem nearly as rushed, probably due to the increased page number。 However, the beginning, while necessary to set the scene, dragged a little。 4。5 STARSThe pacing of this book is a vast improvement over the first three and the ending doesn't seem nearly as rushed, probably due to the increased page number。 However, the beginning, while necessary to set the scene, dragged a little。 。。。more

An absolutely excellent read - much longer than the previous three books and it benefits from being able to add more depth and twists to the story。

This book is beautifully written。 J。K Rowling never fails to make me feel entertained and fully immersed in her world。 I think this book is definitely worth the read because there are a lot of details in the book that were not transmitted through the films and for die-hard fans, it's important to know all the differences! luv, luv, luved it。 The book is so much better than the movie and there’s so many scenarios and details that were not included in the movie but were not in the book。 I liked the building up of the plot and everything。 Defiantly one of my favorites so far out of the series yet !

。。。more

I dropped this book when I was younger because it was so long and I couldn't get past the world quidditch tournament, but I wish I did, because this transforms the series and sets up the next two books and the stake of the conflict in amazing ways。 Maybe the best of the series。 I dropped this book when I was younger because it was so long and I couldn't get past the world quidditch tournament, but I wish I did, because this transforms the series and sets up the next two books and the stake of the conflict in amazing ways。 Maybe the best of the series。 。。。more

I cried about four times and laughed a lot more than that。 The book is so full of emotion and her writing is just exceptional。I so regret not reading the books before the movies。

"if you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals" this is the quote that stood out to me the most in the whole book。 and no, it's not just because it was said by my favourite character who in my opinion did not get enough screen time ok?? the series evidently becomes more serious with each book, and this one, apart from the obvious plot points, also opens a discussion on social issues in the wizarding world。 they are oftentimes handled quest "if you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals" this is the quote that stood out to me the most in the whole book。 and no, it's not just because it was said by my favourite character who in my opinion did not get enough screen time ok?? the series evidently becomes more serious with each book, and this one, apart from the obvious plot points, also opens a discussion on social issues in the wizarding world。 they are oftentimes handled questionably (*cough* house elves *cough*) but brings a lot more, idk, realism into the world。 HOWEVER, considering some not-so-recent events, reading the portrayal of such issues in this particular author's book leaves a bitter aftertaste。 each book in the series is just more emotionally draining that the previous one。 i've said it before, but this time it is for sure that i will put reading the series on hold and maybe return to it in summer (or at least when i'm more emotionally stable)。 admittedly, i liked this book less that PoA, but that was also very obvious。alright now i can proceed my life in denial where some scenes from the next books have been magically cut out :) 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Me sorprende como esta historia va superándose a sí misma en cada libro。 De las pocas cosas que puedo decir que me disgustaron de este libro están: la actitud de Ron, que en cierto punto llega a ser muy fastidiosa, lo comprendo porque sólo tiene 14 años, pero es molesta; y que llega un punto en el que se siente que no avanzas en la historia, que va muy lento。 Pasando a los aspectos que me gustaron, que son casi todos, quiero destacar la forma en que cada pequeño aspecto de lo que nos van contand Me sorprende como esta historia va superándose a sí misma en cada libro。 De las pocas cosas que puedo decir que me disgustaron de este libro están: la actitud de Ron, que en cierto punto llega a ser muy fastidiosa, lo comprendo porque sólo tiene 14 años, pero es molesta; y que llega un punto en el que se siente que no avanzas en la historia, que va muy lento。 Pasando a los aspectos que me gustaron, que son casi todos, quiero destacar la forma en que cada pequeño aspecto de lo que nos van contando aporta algo para el momento en el que llegamos al clímax, es algo que la autora hace muy bien a lo largo de sus libros, construye historias muy redondas donde es complicado encontrar cabos sueltos。 Entre mis momentos favoritos están: el mundial de quidditch, es el mejor partido que he leído, Viktor Krum atrapando la snitch dorada a pesar de tener la nariz rota fue genial, me enamoré de él en ese momento。 Bill Weasley es mi nuevo crush, me encanta como lo describe y espero leer más de él。 También me gustó que pudimos conocer más sobre las artes oscuras del mundo y como afectan a las personas。 Los personajes siguen sorprendiéndome, me pareció hermoso como Hermione y Ron ayudan a Harry durante sus pruebas, también que la señora Weasley y Bill acompañaran a Harry como si fuera su familia, fue hermoso。 Por último, la historia se está tornando cada vez más oscura y me gustó ver las diferentes reacciones ante el regreso de Voldemort。 。。。more

This one wasn't as good as the first three。 This one was kinda long and boring with a lot of unnecessary details。 There were a lot of plot holes。 I hated Rita Skeeter and felt she was part of a plot hole。 If everyone knows she's a fraud, then why did anyone listen to her, especially Mrs。 Weasley? I also feel that the students behaved unrealistically in the Yule Ball scene。 The students wouldn't be in pairs。 They would be more in groups, hanging out and talking。 Also I don't like that Hermoine wa This one wasn't as good as the first three。 This one was kinda long and boring with a lot of unnecessary details。 There were a lot of plot holes。 I hated Rita Skeeter and felt she was part of a plot hole。 If everyone knows she's a fraud, then why did anyone listen to her, especially Mrs。 Weasley? Must-read! I *highly* recommend reading this only if you have read the other 3 hp books! :) This is an action-packed fantasy book with many fun and new characters and cliffhangers! Also, many fun and mysterious activities fill this Triwizard Tournament!

This is a very intriguing but long story。 Using a fantasy genre and adventure, it is very intriguing and suitable for all years。 Before reading this one you should read the first 3 to understand what the story is about。
